our guiding principles

We use six key principles to guide our work at WeCanMake – whether it’s designing a new project or organising an event, the principles function as a tool to sense check and analyse our work through a values-based lens. Each principles grew out of each team member’s response to the question “what brings you to work every day”, making them hyper-relatable, and grounded in what drives us as an organisation.

We developed these principles with the guidance of Lorna and Jo from CoLab Dudley, who generously spent a day with us to help explore how we learn and evaluate as an organisation. Their work is informed by Michael Quinn-Patton’s ‘Principles-Focused Evaluation’ work (read CoLab Dudley’s blog here).
